JUNIOR PROGRAM
The Ellerslie Junior Curling program is held on Sundays and will start the 2022-2023 season in late September and will continue until March.
Our curlers range in age from 9-18.
Our program is broken up into two groupings:
- 12:00pm - 1:15pm
Learn to Curl - Curlers new to the sport.
Helmets are required for all Learn to Curl participants. These can include hockey, bike helmets, or curling-specific toques with safety features. Clean running shoes are required for on-ice as well as comfortable and warm clothing that is easy to stretch and move in.
Fundamentals - Curlers who have taken one year of a Learn to Curl program.
U12 - Elementary school age.
- 1:30pm - 3:30pm
U15 & U18 - Junior and Senior High age.
Toques, grippers, brooms, mittens and other curling equipment, can be purchased at the Ellerslie Curling Club.
Fees are $220.00 per person + $13.00 Curl Alberta Fee
This fee includes approximately 16-17 weeks of curling, Christmas and Year-End party tickets for the curler, and lots of fun throughout the year!

ELLERSLIE JUNIOR CURLING ACADEMY
The Ellerslie Junior Academy is open to teams already created that would like to further develop toward becoming more competitive. A coach must accompany a team when registering and needs to be a certified NCCP Competition Coach or in the process of becoming certified.
The Academy takes place Thursdays from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm on-ice and 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm off-ice.
Off-ice sessions include topics on strategy, gameplay, sports psychology, and nutrition.
Ice is also available on Tuesday afternoon from 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm for individual or team practice on a first-come-first-serve basis.

JUNIOR SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Our Junior program is looking for corporate sponsors this year. All sponsorship dollars will go directly to the Ellerslie Junior Program - brooms, guest appearances, specialized equipment, jackets, competitive team support, etc.
Corporate sponsor logos will be added to the junior program jackets (via embroidered patch) and will be featured on a large on-ice board. There will also be a small army of kids traveling around in bonspiels wearing the jackets & logos. See the attached layout below of the existing jackets.
Corporate sponsorship is very important to the success of the program.
